John lives on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, an inspirational source of coastal and bay views. He has travelled Australia widely, and in his paintings he endeavours to capture the rugged beauty of the diverse Australian Landscape.
John's preferred medium is oil on canvas, and his paintings are in the realist/impressionist style where he is influenced by the Great Australian Impressionists of the past, whom he admires for their ability to evoke the realism of the "Australian Bush".
John is a member of the Peninsula Art Society where he has attended classes and workshops with renowned artists. He exhibits regularly in Rotary and other Art Shows and his paintings hang in private collections, both internationally and across Australia.
John's work can be viewed at Gallery 247, www.gallery247.com.au.
