I am a predominantly self-taught artist whereby from an early age I began drawing and have developed a strong passion for creating variety of cartoon characters and caricatures using mostly the acrylic.medium ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ I have always been intrigued by the world of Mystical Fantasy and hence, began my inspiration of establishing a business called "Fantasy Murals". ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ This consisted of painted murals for Children's Bedrooms and gardens. ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ My work was featured in "Home Beautiful" in September 1995, "The Post" in October 1994 and various other journals.
I then completed a Fine Arts Course at the Latrobe Fine School of Art in 2001. ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ This was my first introduction into oils. ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ It gave me ispiration to work with oils and to create a diverse array of themes combining oils and gold leaf mediums. ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ I have completed a collection of silhouettes entitled "A Symphony of Romance". ÃÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ My more recently completed work has been inspired through the pure essence of the very beautiful Red Hill and the Peninsula that together with the colourful array of blossoming plants and scapes create a visual delight and feast for all the senses.
I hope to capture the true spirit and imagination of these surrounds and to add some uniqueness and originality into my work so that it may adorn that special place in any home, office or gallery.
