As a child in Russia, Liliya spent hours drawing and painting and exhibited her passion and aptitude for art.
In 1998, Liliya completed her Bachelor degree majoring in Advertising and Graphic Design. Since her graduation, she has worked in various graphic design roles.
Liliya left Russia in 2009 and emigrated to Melbourne, Australia where she now resides.
After making the transition to a full-time artist and freelance graphic designer in 2013, Liliya has undergone a revival of her passion for art and painting as this new chapter in her life unfolds. Liliya expresses her creativity through painting landscapes, urban and cityscapes, still life and portraits in her preferred medium of oils and acrylics which has resulted in being awarded the Best Oil/Acrylic work at the Beaumaris Art Group Annual Show 2013 by Hermann Peckle. On the road to discovering herself, Liliya develops her artistic talent through researching various art works, styles, materials and continued experimentation. Her love for art is also shared with others through her art classes for children and adults.
