ARTIST BIO

I am a musician, artist and writer living in Cairns having arrived here 25 years ago from Melbourne.

Previously, I have painted primarily in watercolour, but recently have started using oils and acrylic, enjoying the freedom of opaque mediums.

I have many influences and interests and I think my paintings reflect that, but I will always be attracted to detail and get excited when I find a subject that will require hours of tedious work!

My work has consisted of many floral subjects, along with landscapes and a few deceased machine scapes. But I'm finding myself drawn to portraits lately, and once I've finished the current paintings I have on the go, will try my hand at portrait painting.
