Beginnings by Pip Fleming

ARTIST NOTES: 'Beginnings'
When we journey from the beginning of the Celtic times, in middle Europe, it is fascinating to learn that the Celts invaded much of Europe as well as England, Scotland, Ireland and other neighbouring lands. They were in fact very successful ‘invaders’
If we, in Australia were to trace our heritage back, how many of us would have come from those original Celts.
It got me thinking about the beginnings of Australia.
To me, Uluru is very symbolic of the ‘beginnings’ of this country. A strong and powerful symbol of creation.
Did the Celts ever make it this far?
