An Ancient Journey by Pip Fleming

Features

ARTIST NOTES: 'An Ancient Journey'
We delve into ancient history and the further we go back, the more things are the same.
Symbols from ancient cultures bear an uncanny resemblance to each other. They are simple & strong.
This work is an ‘exploration’ of some of those ancient symbols of life.
Is this work a Totem Pole or a Celtic Cross?
The centre piece being a Native Indian representation of Mother Earth.
The Egyptian ‘Ankh’ symbol of Life and the Chakana Inca cross meaning ‘The World Tree’ or ‘Tree of Life’. As a sacred geometric symbol the frequency within contains feelings, values and constants that infuse light & explain each of the ancient sacred energies

Her works have mostly been exhibited, & sold, in New Zealand.

She moved to Melbourne with her husband in 2013 and is  continuing with her successful and unique artworks. Her first ‘Australian’ exhibition was held at Brunswick Street Gallery in May / June  2014.

Her works were selected for the prestigious 'Camberwell Art Show' 2014.
